Having
the best oil sludge processing centrifuge is only part of the HydroPure
STS. In order to allow the centrifuge to efficiently process oily waste
sludge, HydroPure has developed a chemical treatment program that is tailored
to treat the waste generator's sludge. To illustrate the necessity of
a chemical treatment program, centrifuges are similar to laundry washing
machines in that they cannot perform their task without help from surface
active agents (surfactants). The best washing machine ever built cannot
function without detergent. Similarly, the HydroPure Tri-Phase Centrifuge
or any other centrifuge cannot process oil sludge without the proper chemical
program to neutralize the binding forces within the sludge.

The HydroPure PetroChem chemical treatment system was developed to address
the problems associated with processing the most difficult sludges. HydroPure
has successfully separated sludges containing high concentrations of fine
clay, iron sulfides, organic chlorides and other difficult to remove substances.
Sludge processed through the HydroPure STS is regularly separated into
99.5% or greater oil purity while discharging dry solids and clear water
in the other two phases.
The HydroPure PetroChem chemical treatment program consists of high grade
flocculating polymers, detergents, demulsifiers, and other surfactants
specially formulated to effectively and economically separate oil sludges.
Although the HydroPure PetroChem treatment program is the most effective
chemical treatments available for treating oil sludges, the cost is usually
less than the inferior products offered by major petroleum chemical manufacturing
companies.
Although the HydroPure PetroChem chemical treatments were formulated to
work with a centrifuge system, they have been proven effective and economical
in other types of separation devices such as coalescers, presses, filters,
and settling tanks. In addition to providing chemical treatments to the
petroleum and environmental industries, HydroPure is also capable of formulating
a chemical treatment program in any industry which has the need to separate
mixtures containing liquids and solids.
