The heart of the HydroPure STS is a specially designed, horizontal three-phase centrifuge. The centrifuge has an adjustable on-the-fly liquid phase separator which enables liquid purity adjustments while the machine is in operation. Therefore, when a change occurs in the oil/water ratio in the sludge being processed, a simple adjustment by an external lever is made without experiencing downtime as with most other centrifuges. The HydroPure Tri-Phase Centrifuge is also capable of 3,100 G-Forces which facilitates the removal of the finest particles and has a long, shallow taper in the conical section which enables the centrifuge to produce the driest solid cake possible.

The most important advantages the HydroPure Tri-Phase Centrifuge has over competing centrifuge manufacturers include its durability and simple field maintenance capabilities. HydroPure has engineered its centrifuge to withstand the most abrasive minerals found in oily/water/solid sludges. HydroPure manufactures its own wear components that are engineered to protect the machines from metal erosion and easily be changed in the field. Abrasion prevention components protect the machine's core metal from wear, thereby eliminating expensive and routine rebuilds as with other centrifuges. In most cases, the HydroPure Tri-Phase Centrifuge can be disassembled, wear pieces replaced, and reassembled in the field in one day for a fraction of the cost of a normal centrifuge rebuild.
